In Memoriam: Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C.

Last evening, Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C., passed on to Eternal life. One of the most influential Catholics and priests in the United States, Father Hesburgh made a difference in the world of education, social justice, politics, and religion. As a religious Father of the Holy Cross, Father Hesburgh’s life serves as a shining testament to how religious men and women, whatever their call, give their all to serve the people of God.

I had the amazing opportunity to meet with Father Hesburgh this past December. I can’t tell you how much my heart swelled with joy when he attributed the Sisters who taught him with giving him the foundation and motivation to excel — to give his all – to be a man of God and bring God’s goodness to life.

May God bless him and may he rest in peace.
