SOAR! Seeks Nominations for the 2015 Father Victor Yanitelli, S.J. Award

Each year, as part of its annual New York dinner, SOAR! presents the Father Victor Yanitelli, SJ Award. Fr. Yanitelli, a committed supporter of SOAR!, devoted his life to alleviate the needs confronting religious in the care of their elderly members. As a Jesuit, he truly was a man for others. In acknowledgement of his generous spirit and loving heart, this memorial award was established to recognize a senior religious in the greater New York area who reflects Fr. Yanitelli’s sprit and creative service to the needs of others.

The award, which includes a $2,000 gift to the honoree’s order, will be presented at the SOAR! New York dinner on October 7, 2015.

The honoree will be selected based on the following criteria: 1) length of service in religious life; 2) financial need of his/her congregation; and, most significantly 3) how the candidate reflects those qualities that made Fr. Yanitelli an exceptional person in service to God and God’s people.

Nominations may only be submitted by religious orders or Vicars of Religious. The nomination form, is due no later than March 23, 2015.
