A Christmas Prayer for Families

As we draw towards Christmas and the Christmas Season, SOAR! is happy to share with you a special prayer for families:

O God, our all Good and Loving Father, we praise and glorify you,

and recognize that you have given us the gift of family,

and the example of the life of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.

We thank you from our hearts for the uniqueness

and individuality of our family members, knowing that each one of us

is made in your image and likeness.

We ask you to protect our families and to strengthen those who

are struggling with illness, financial problems or lack of faith in You,

We know that you are our Refuge and Protector against danger, and

you have told us, “I will rescue those who love me.

I will protect those who trust in my name.”

May you grant our families the wisdom and understanding

to trust in you and follow Your will,

serving each other and loving our neighbors.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ Our Lord.  Amen.
