UPDATED: SOAR! responds to fire

On Wednesday morning, October 12, a fire broke out at St. Michael Villa,  a four-story retirement home for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.

All the Sisters and the two priests in residence are safe and have temporary shelter. We thank God that no one at was hurt, and we keep their community in our prayers as they begin to rebuild.

Thanks to you, our donors, SOAR! quickly responded. On October 13, we sent them a $10,000 grant to help them meet their immediate needs.

“The gift from SOAR! is definitely a sign of hope for us and is a definitely a blessing in the midst of this difficult time,” wrote Sister Sheila Lemieux, congregation leader.
