Elizabeth Góral-Makowski

As vice president of advancement, Elizabeth supports the president to ensure the mission and vision of the organization are met. She provides strategic oversight, direction and evaluation of all areas of fundraising. Elizabeth joined SOAR! in 2013 as director of development. During her tenure, she has played a key role in expanding the organization’s ability to support aging religious women and men by strengthening its philanthropic reach.

Before coming to SOAR!, Elizabeth co-led the advancement office for the Redemptorist Fathers of the Baltimore Province. Earlier in her career, she served in higher education administration in student affairs at the Johns Hopkins University, where she gained extensive experience in organizational development and relationship management.

Elizabeth earned a master’s degree in Ministry and Spirituality from St. Mary’s Seminary and University’s Ecumenical Institute of Theology. Dedicated to her faith, she has served as a lay corporator and lector at her parish, and currently is Board Chair of Mother Seton Academy in Baltimore, MD. In her spare time, she enjoys nature walks and cooking.
