Congregation Grants

Eligibility and Application Guidelines for Congregation Grants

• Rolling Applications: Congregations may apply at any time during the year. There are no fixed application cycles.
• Application Frequency: Each congregation may submit one (1) application per 12-month period.
• Previous Grant Compliance: Final reports for previous grant awards must be submitted prior to completing a new grant application.
• Grant Request Limit: The maximum allowable request is $50,000 per application.
• NRRO Requirement: All applications must include a recent NRRO Retirement Needs Analysis Report.

Support and Resources

• Weekly Office Hours: Virtual office hours will be offered weekly to assist with application and final report questions.
• Technical Assistance: One-on-one support is available as needed.

Review and Notification

• Review Process: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis by the Grant Review Committee.
• Committee Interviews: If an application requires a committee interview, SOAR! staff will arrange a Zoom meeting with congregation leadership and a Grant Review Committee member.
• Notification Timeline: Applicants will be notified of funding decisions within 8 weeks of submission.
