Apply for a Grant

Religious orders of women and men in the United States may apply for funds to assist with an immediate retirement need.

To apply for a grant, please follow the steps below.

The spring grant cycle closes Friday, March 10, 2023. Awards will be made in late May.

Step 1: Before accessing the spring 2023 grant application link, you must click here to set up a Blackbaud ID. If you applied for a SOAR! grant online previously, you can use the same user ID and password, but must set up a Blackbaud ID to access the spring 2023 grant application.

Step 2: Applications will require certain documents to be uploaded. Applicants are required to watch the following instructional videos to ensure the uploaded attachments are in the correct format. We are requesting all applicants watch these videos even if the congregation has applied for grants in the past. Click here to watch the required document attachment videos.

Separate from the required document videos, we have created a series of step-by-step help videos to assist with commonly asked questions and technical issues you may encounter with your application or final report. You can view those videos here. If your question is not addressed in the videos, contact SOAR! at (202) 529-7627 or grants@soar-usa.org

Step 3: Click here to access the spring 2023 grant application once your Blackbaud ID sign in credentials have been created.

Frequently asked questions about the online application are highlighted below; for more information about the application process, visit our complete FAQ page.
