What is different this year?

What impact do you have on the world? At the end of your time on earth, what will be different because you lived? Those are big questions to answer for today. But maybe for today, the last day of 2019, could you think about what is different this year because of you?

For me, I hope that my words and actions this year showed my friends and family how important they are to me. I hope that my dedication to prayer touched the hearts of many, and my dedication to service made an impact, even in some small way, to the people I set out to serve.

What is different because of you?

I can help get you started – more aging religious are resting comfortably tonight knowing they are safe and secure because of the security system you helped install. Sisters in a monastery in Cleveland can hear each other at evening prayer because of the new sound system you helped them purchase. Because of you, Brothers in Ohio are taking an elevator tonight knowing they will get to their bedrooms safely.

What impact do you have on the world? A very big one indeed! As this year comes to a close, know that I count you among the blessings I received this year. May God continue to bless you for your generosity and concern. And may the year 2020 be filled with moments of grace for you and your loved ones and opportunities to open your heart and make an difference.
