A summer prayer

God of every time and place,
sow within our hearts the seeds
of your love and mercy.
Give us the wisdom to
tenderly tend to the gifts you give us.

May we bear the fruit of your goodness,
and be people of joy and compassion,
witnesses of your grace in every moment.

We are created in your likeness.
Nurture in us the willingness
to see you in every face
and to honor the dignity of all people and all creation.
