A Thanksgiving Prayer

Loving God,
Whose whispered breath
brought forth creation,
grant us the wisdom
to cherish life and earth,
to be thankful for these gifts
and to use the gift of our lives
to praise You.
Give us the courage to care for
the wonders You have made —
the land, the sky, the sea,
plants and creatures.
Give us compassionate hearts
to honor the dignity of all human life –
the young, the old, the sick, the lonely.
May all we do echo our thanks to You,
Our Creator, Redeemer, Sanctifier.
