Through the generosity of its donors, SOAR! has assisted Catholic religious congregations of Sisters, Brothers and Priests in the United States care for their aging and infirm members.  Since 1986, over 1,000 grants totaling over $15 million have been awarded to over 400 congregations in 43 states and Puerto Rico.

These grants help congregations better care for their aging and infirm members. Donations help  fund practical needs such as:

  • renovations to provide handicapped accessibility;
  • hospital beds;
  • installation of nurse call systems, fire alarms, and wander guard systems;
  • accessible vans

These grants ensure the personal security and safety of many elderly and infirm religious. The generosity of SOAR!’s donors also means that many women and men religious who have dedicated their lives to nurturing bodies, minds, and souls, are able to remain with their communities.  In addition, the grants help the congregations devote more of their other resources and time to continue their active ministries.
