In Memoriam: Sister Mary Donald Cusick

Sister Mary Donald Cusick, 100, died November 6, 2015, at Caritas Christi, the motherhouse of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. From 1989 to 1995, she worked with SOAR! as its first administrative assistant.

Sister Mary Donald spent more than 35 years as teacher and principal in the Pittsburgh diocese and the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C. For another 15 years, she served as supervisor of elementary schools staffed by the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill and eventually of other schools in the dioceses of Pittsburgh and Greensburg. She became the first recipient of the Distinguished Ministry in Catholic Education Award in 1994.
